About IECGD and Our Mission
Inspiring, Educative, Creative Games for the Deaf (IECGD), founded by Mr. Manan Shah in April 2021, is dedicated to celebrating and promoting authentic Indian Sign Language (ISL). Through innovative and engaging content, IECGD aims to educate and entertain the deaf community, ensuring the preservation of ISL’s unique essence.
The COVID-19 pandemic brought a surge in internet usage among Indian deaf youths, leading to an increased adoption of foreign sign languages from international social media platforms. Concerned about the potential impact on ISL, Mr. Shah launched IECGD to reinforce the value of ISL and prevent its dilution.
Utilizing the dynamic platform of Instagram, IECGD has created a series of popular LIVE shows featuring creative and educative games conducted in ISL. These shows have resonated widely, drawing a following of 35.5k and showcasing the language’s vibrancy.
Our collaboration with IECGD is a testament to our commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for deaf students. Together, we leverage this creative initiative to provide valuable resources and support, enriching the learning experience for our students and furthering our shared mission of inclusivity and excellence.
