Hyderabad based two different organisations viz. Deaf Enabled Foundation (DEF) and Sign Medium (SM) a arm of Yunikee Accessibility Service for Deaf Pvt Ltd, had independently organised their own quiz competitions online for deaf children of different age groups from all over India. We encouraged our deaf children to participate in them and, to our amazement, the first three positions and most of the prizes were won by Orjet Foundation’s deaf children. This strengthens our belief that ISL based bilingual education truly helps in bringing overall cognitive development among deaf children.
